Tucson is known as the astronomical capital of the world. The city keeps the skies dark with light control laws. This makes Tucson a great place for scientific and recreational stargazing.
Enjoy an evening under the stars with knowledgeable astronomy tour guides who will share the night sky through telescopes that gather over 1,600 times the light of the human eye. Learn about the latest astronomy apps for iPhone and iPad and how you can put them to use in the classroom. Explore the wonders of the universe with incredible views of craters, mountain ranges and ancient lava bed on the Moon, the rings of Saturn, double stars and star clusters.
Mobile Learning Experience 2013 participants can drop in to spend some time with the tour guides September 17th between 6:30pm and 9:30pm. You’ll love exploring Tucson’s night sky!
