Bec is a primary (elementary) school teacher in Melbourne, Australia. She has been teaching for 5 years and is currently the school’s eLearning leader and literacy teaching and learning coach. Much of her time is spent supporting and mentoring other teachers to treat technology as an integral component of classroom practice and use social media responsibly. She aims to give students an opportunity to participate in real-world learning opportunities and experience recognition of their learning from a global audience. For the last two years Bec has concentrated on improving assessment practices through the use of mobile technologies. Bec is an international Education Ambassador for Evernote.com and in 2013 she was awarded a state education excellence award for her commitment and dedication to leading innovation.
